Patty Mills, if given a chance to play will be a great player. He is by far the best True PG on the bench behind dre. He needs to play, he will be a great NBA pg... in the model of TP. You feel me on this?

Parker is trash, you all need to quit comparing players with a shot to an injury prone drive and disher like parker. Parker would be garbage if it weren't for him having a spot up 2 who's excellent at playing off the ball like ginobli, and when ginobli's not there he's getting to the cup over and over again until he takes a big shot and goes down with an injury. We already have a young parker in bayless, roy just isn't ginobli so he doesn't make that kind of PG look good, just as he didn't make andre look good last year. Roy will figure this out, just as evan williams (who everyone compares to roy) is starting to figure out in the summer league.

Patty Mills is the next Patty Mills, whatever that will be.  This summer league will determine his short term future.  My biased opinion is that he will pull apart the summer league if all reports are correct and he gets meaningful court time and leads the team. If the Blazers don't jump on him with a contract, he will certainly pick up a contract with another team as a back up point guard.  He is best suited to fast full court offense so maybe he isn't suited to Nate's half court game, but the summer league will give him a chance to blow out the cobwebs and impress a few Blazer fans.  I still have his Aus v's Arg game on the Laptop and he shot the lights out (32pts), massive amounts of energy and is in very good shape and his leadership for a young man is impressive.  Can't wait for the summer league to get underway........ In Patty Mills, I believe!

Bayless plays too out of control...I like the fact that he attacks the basket, because thats what portland needs is players that will attack the basket on offense rather than settle for a jump shot...but if your not driving looking to score, whats the point?....then everyone likes to go back to when he scored 31 on San Antonio....I mean everyone is bound to have a big game when your seeing the minutes he's seeing  there're 82 games in a season.

Yeah he's too out of control now. But he made improvements in that area progressively last season. Play time and a mentor is needed for him.

yes, roy is not ginobli. They both play a top tier level of basketball, but Ginobli is years ahead of Roy in his experience at being proficient off the ball, I hope Roy can get to that level but it's well known he's not at that level in his game at this point in his career. Parker is good, but not for the money he's making. I'd rather keep andre at least one more year so he can redeem himself and show what he can do with a healthy team around him, and as patient fans we can redeem ourselves for making it tough on him at the start.
This way patty and bayless will have more time to progress, with as much  as PA loves patty, I have no doubt he knows how much patty is progressing, and will keep him around long enough for Nate to grow confidence in his team-leading ability on the court. Nate was a PG, so he's hardest on his PG's, which is why Sergio couldn't hack it in nate's system. If patty plays hard on D, and in practice, he will find time this season.

I cant believe Im hearing Ginobli being compared to Roy...Are you kidding me!!! Ginobli is a garbage player scrap meat. And who is it known by ? You and your Grandma? Espn in the last two years put Roy as the seventh best in the NBA and Kobe has said all last year outside of himself Roy has the best all around game. He can do it all and at a high level. But let me guess you just really like Ginobli's Karate Kid like skills to catch bats...

Mills needs lessons on how to flop from Ginobli, I laughed hard a few times watching Patty try to sell a moving pick or trying to take a charge against Minnesota.

So...  Who was saying lets get rid of Andre?  I have only heard talk of a back up PG spot.  Since when does he need redeeming?

The only thing manu does better is shoot the three.

You are out of your mind crazy if you would rather have manu on the court than Roy.  The difference is Roy doesn't have a hall of famer playing with him.

On to patty.  I say we keep both him and johnson.  We can use them as bargaining chips in a trade if need be.

Manu plays year round as a catalyst for a national team and a perennial playoff contender that generally goes deep in the playoffs when they are on, last year they weren't on and they still did well. Roy is good, Manu is good, to compare their game to each other is fine, but to say Roy is flat out better in all areas because Roy had slightly better box score numbers doesn't tell me anything I'm going to take serious.

Kim's got my back, and I got her parking spot. I don't know how to judge any guards defensive performance from summer league, as I didn't see those ticky-tacky-hand-check calls from above the free throw line, which we are guaranteed to see a bunch of during the regular nba season. I saw Patty try to stay in front of his man (a majority of the time) and other times he gambled for the steal, something that made him look bad at times, but then again Pryzbilla wasn't in the middle to thrive off that kind of aggressive defense. I understand Patty doesn't play the greatest defense due to his size, but neither does JR Smith nor Jason Terry, and they are great off the bench for quick scoring surges. We tried that with Rudy but it never worked, because he and Roy have the same skill sets (unlike manu I'll give Roy +'s on all of them) and you couldn't play them at the same time. But with Patty that wouldn't be the case, he can play off the ball (at least as much as Blake could) or take over leading the team and find his own shot or shots for others (something rudy couldn't do after Ariza welcomed him to the NBA).

Ever heard the term "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water".  Patty has had 1 interupted NBA season with little playing time to improve.  He performed well enough in only 5 summer league games to attract quite a lot of interest from media andother teams fans who see the positives that Patty brings and will continue to bring with his development. Kim you may see him as a liability which is your opinion and your entitled to it, however I think it could be a mistake to offload him without letting him off the chain to show in an NBA regular game what he is capable of. P.S, when you type in upper case your actually yelling at us...my 2 cents...
