    ....in the D-League.

    Via AOL Fanhouse-
The Idaho Stampede are quickly becoming the Miami Heat of the NBA D-League. And according to two league sources, the 0-7 team's recent stockpiling of well-known talent is about to continue with the addition of small forward Luke Babbitt.

Good move if true. He isn't getting any better getting no minutes in the NBA,so he might as well hone his craft in the the NBDL. It worked for Patty and numerous others. It'll give him a chance to get some live game action, work on his timing, and build his confidence up.

Why'd we trade Martell for someone who's going to play in D-League?

Seriously, This is stupid. I thought he was going to be deadly shooting the three and I think people were even talking about him having a nice post game. Nate clearly sucks as a coach for not letting him get NBA time.

If Nate is going to brow beat AJ, he might as well go too. He isnt going to get better riding the bench (imo).

.... who exactly do you think babbit should take playing time from?  realistically, no one right now. unless someone gets injured, we really have no use for babbit at the moment, so the D league will do him some good. obviously, it worked for patty. we saw the evidence of that come out last night. babbit will get his shot. its just not gonna come right now.

Good move sending Babbit to the D-League.  Now I would like to see Armon get some serious playing time in Idaho.

More for contract purposes. Also, where would Marty play? Wesley, Rudy, Roy, and Batum rotating two spots. There's just not any PT left on bone for anyone else. Luke is a nice prospect who we took a roll of the dice on. Not many rookies play right away so let's just see how he progresses from year 1 to year 2.

Oh thanks. I'm probably wrong but I thought I saw him in dress clothes before Joel came back.

This is a good move considering the way things are. Instead of growing rust, Babbit can be active and sharpen his skills, which in my opinion are very good. I would have actually liked to see him play more then AJ, but AJ made the stronger showing in pre-season and early season games. I also think it would have been better because he (Babbit) can have a post game, he can shoot the three and he covers alot of court in very few strides...but just my opinion. It made no sence to keep Marty especially since he was injured all the time...

    peace out,
    daddy

Hmmm... can we retrieve him from D-League if we need him?  Martel was one of our saviors last season, and there have been times this season where I think Martel would have been the difference between win and loss.  I'm still a bit bitter, since Martel did us so good last season, and we traded him for Babbitt.  Nothing against Babbitt, at all, I just wish we'd get him some playing time.

Everyone makes a fuss about how we traded away Webster for Babbitt. This is true yeah, but we did replace Webster with who is obviously an upgrade. Wesley "Iron-Man" Matthews. He's everything Webster is and some.

But yes, let's burn Nate at the stake for benching Luke and AJ! After all we just lost 6 games straight with AJ as our back-up point guard! And Luke should definitely take minutes away from Matthews and Batum!

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
