How can PDX take their show on the road successfully?
    Play through Aldridge (19)
     49%
Force Turnovers (Toronto turns it over 15 times per night, 7th most in the NBA) (7)
     18%
Score 100+ points (Toronto is 7-29 when opponents score 100+ points) (4)
     10%
Win the rebounding battle (Both teams average 40 rpg) (5)
     13%
Fast Start (Lead by 7+ after the 1st Quarter) (4)
     10%

After knocking off the Bulls at the Rose Garden on Monday, the Blazers must take their show on the road for a three-game in four-night road trip, starting in Toronto on Friday. Portland has shown in recent wins they have the talent to compete and defeat the elite teams in the League, but lately, playing on the road has become a difficult task. This is a very winnable game, as the Raptors are only 9-16 on their home floor and have won just one time in their last 10 games.

If the Blazers are to kick off their road trip right, they must run their offense through LaMarcus Aldridge. Every time down the floor, LA needs to be touching the ball. Toronto has no big men capable of defending him one-on-one and if they decide to play him straight up then LA could be in line for a new career high. On the other hand, if they double, send cutters slashing to the hoop or have shooters lined up on the perimeter waiting to make the defense pay. Get off to a fast start and let Aldridge bring it home.

I just wanna' see a blow-out so Patty and Luke get to run around out there some more.  Hopefully the starting five won't have to play 600 minutes of the opener on a three game road trip against teams they should totally crush.

I'm a fan of the six man battalion getting a breather!

Oh and Aldridge commands his average, Blazers score 95+ and limit Toronto to 40% shooting.  If that happens I can't see Portland winning by less than 10.
I am a fan of Rudy and Patty's off-court bromance.

Need big game by Lamarcus. Mess up all the Raptor fans that hounded Lamarcus for not being nearly as good as Chris Bosh.

    He's too soft...that ain't gonna get you 42 homey!?!

We need to play through aldridge! Force turnovers, and score off those turnovers! Very important, i also believe we need to score over 100. We can easily win this game!

BLAZERS CAN MOST DEFINITELY WIN THIS ONE...
    key things:

1- start aldridge early, and play through him
2- FORCE TURNOVERS and important get points off of those turnover

those r my keys to the game

Definitely here just keep doing what they've been doing: playing through Aldridge.
I mean, obviously boards are big, definitely a game changer. Obviously they need decent games from guys like Andre, Wesley, and Nicolas.
But time and time again what is that is Aldridge has an off game, things don't go well (ex: Kings, Indiana.) When he plays well, they do very well (ex. Bulls, Spurs.)

i just hope this teams come out ungry, and looking for some raptor meat, on the road with teams not so good they come out thinking we go this and infact shoot poorly and dont coem out with fire. liek rice said attack the paint, attack players get in there grill make them foul. lets go for a blow out, or at least get a chance for babbit and rest some of the players so we dont have tired legs fro the rest of the road trip, i hope theres no rust going in with the lay off

They need to go in through LA early and establish his presence in the paint.  Then let everyone else do their jobs knock down their shots and pull out a good win.  Batum and Wesley need to have their shots falling tonight too for us to win as well.
    RIP CITY!!

PS. I have to work tonight so ill be watching the game on my smartphone, refreshing the scoreboard every 5 seconds.  hopefully i don't burn anyones food =D

The reason we have been so shaky on the road is we forget about our playmaker, our star. For whatever reason, the players don't feed LaMarcus nearly enough and the offense doesn't run through him. Even if he's not shooting, only good can come out of giving LA a touch each time down the court. If the opponent wants to send a double team, then fine, LA has shown the ability to find the open man. And if they leave him 1-on-1, very few defenders can stop him in the post. So for me, esp against the weaker foes, go through Aldridge and get a nice lead. Don't let them hang around and think they can play with the big boys. The longer they stay close, the more confidence they will have which leads to a rowdier crowd.

Not saying they cant be dangerous but come-on, the Raptors are 13-49 soon to be 13-50. The KEY is to play smart, play as a unit and this game should be a breeze.

By the way thanks Casey for getting to my question...that i asked 2 times not 4 lol, and thanks Mike Rice for your answer.

Great win. LA truly played like a superstar tonight. When we needed him to carry us offensively in the 4th when Toronto was making their run, he was there with a bucket. 37 & 10? Just another day at the office. These next two games should go the same way as long as we continue to feed LA the rock.
