I think it's because either he would get less minutes or because he was hoping for a bigger contract.
I am a fan of Batum's effort of trying to dunk on Pau Gasol all the time.

When rumors like this start, I always wonder if it isn't the agent doing the talking. Could it be we're hearing the voice of Rudy's Spanish agent, Gerard Darnés?

I would be upset too! We better not lose Rudy. We don't need Turkoglu. There aren't enough shots to go around for him anyway. We need someone who plays defense. We've already got a #1 and #2 go to guys, can Turkoglu really be the 3rd option and be okay with it?

I hope this is all just misconstrued drama. Rudy is by far one of my favorite players on the Blazers. I just hope if we acquire Hedo they will be able to work together nicely.

If not, hypothetically, say Rudy really is mad. Say Rudy decides he would rather play in Europe than play alongside Hedo. Do you think we could move him, Bayless, and TO for a guy like CP3? Would that even be possible. Now don't get me wrong, I love Rudy, he's my boy, just check out my home page, but for argument's sake. What could Portland get for him and TO, what would you ask for? Is a guy like CP3 even available? I wouldn't give him up for Devin Harris, so don't even go there. I don't want to hear that name dropped. But where WOULD you go?

NO NO NO F HEDO. Do not sign him dump Outlaw give him more minutes we will regret this if we let it happen.

Thats a veryyy interesting stance. Personally i dont think we should trade TO he will be a good back up for Aldridge. Consider this though....if CP3 was an option...Blake and Martel for CP3? i would think N.O. would take that deal over TO anyways. Also, i bet CP3 would love to come to portland. He is young and portland is a power house! I like your thinking though.

I havent heard Rudy say anything, all we are hearing are agents trying to increase player value.

We are not getting CP3 ever N.O fan base would tank worse than it has there owner would not let it happen. TO doe sok at backup during regualr season but playoff basketball has bigs the he cannot handle and at the 3 I do not like him. Man I think we are on the down swing of karma. I coudl be overreacting but we had such good luck for a couple of years now the crap happens. We need Rudy he is a  huge spark to this team he can do for us what eddie house did for the Celtics or Odom or Ariza done for the Lakers. There is not one other explosive packup scorer on the back up squad. Please do nto respond TO on that because I would rather Rudy take those shots than him. Maybe I am just angry because I added a Rudy poster and jersey framed in my man cave arrrr!!! haha have a good night its late on the east coast.

I doubt we would ever have a chance at CP3 either but its fun to speculate. Not to mention i feel if he went anywhere else it would be Portland just cause thats the only position we would really need to fill in the next few years.

P.S. hello east coast! good to hear from our fans over there.

Until I actually hear from Rudy or the Blazers that this is a true I'm not really believing it. I can see him being concerned but just seems a bit out of character for him to fly off the handle like that. Besides, he nor anyone except KP and most likely, Nate, know what the big plan is so seems premature to get too worried. And who are the "sources"? Agents, other GM's ... just seems kinda odd that's all. To go from saying one day that he's happy to be fulfilling his dream to play in the NBA to chucking it all and going back to Europe just doesn't track either.

I dunno, I'd rather not have Turkoglu either way, never really thought we needed a new small forward when Batum will be amazing next year and Webster's coming back but if it's all true then I'll be super disappointed in my then once favorite Blazer.

For what it's worth I read that Nate talked to Rudy just two days ago about the draft, and about the moves that he was planning on making in the Free Agency Market. It said Rudy was cool with all of it, and told Nate that he was still happy as a trailblazer. Hope thats the case because he's one of my favorites.

Outlaw should leave regardless of Rudy or Hedo situation. I think he doesn't really any more upside. Rudy is a very nice player and I would expect him to suit up for the 6th man role if we sign Hedo. Some sites tell about his discomfort with last year's role but I don't really think it's possible. He was a rookie who got more playing time and role than most others in his situation even with his defensive struggles. I want him to stay and really believe he'll be an important player but Nate better be sure of his intentions and make sure that he won't freak out like this during the season. If he leaves for Europe it'll cause some problems for his future NBA career. It's not nice to make a name like this right after your rookie season.

I would prefer to hang on to Rudy rather than bringing in Hedo, especially considering his contract but if Rudy will cause such problems whenever we try to bring in players that will steal minutes from him, then Rudy should be let go soon. Hedo might not be the upgrade we want but what will happen when we try to bring in a guy that will really move this team forward fast?

Is CP3 even available? If so then there are only 2-3 names here that I wouldn't think about trading for him. The rest can leave in a package deal.

Read a little further back. It was completely hypathetical. It didn't even guarantee Rudy really is angry, it was just a completely hypathetical situation to see what Blazer Fans would settle for in return if Rudy really was that ticked off. Which I hope he's not because I dig the guy, he's fun to watch.

I think Hedo will get about 30 minutes a game.  That is only 4 more minutes than we gave Travis last season.

Hedo is a good player but he wont be a starter why do we keep getting so deep with talented players that have to sit on the bench... remember Jermaine Oneal anybody... 1st  four years bench... we trade him...  perennial all star... i really hope its not another D.Miles

Hedo will undoubtedly be a starter...I wonder if some of you people ever watch other teams besides Portland. All this hate about Hedo is ridiculous...the guy is a baller. Yea, he's 30 but is that not what we're missing? He's a seasoned veteran who knows the game well. He's a great offensive player and a great teammate...he doesn't just hack up shots all game. He did average close to 5 assist last year in Orlando which is pretty impressive for the 3. His defense isn't the best but he's still a 6'10" 3 which will create some problems for other teams. The starting lineup will be something like this.

    PG: Blake...need an upgrade here.
SG: B-Roy...one of the leagues best.
SF: Hedo...great 3 with all around game.
PF: LA...expecting another big year from him.
C: Oden...hopefully if he stays healthy he will start to be the player that we know he can be.

Other than PG, which is not horrible just not great, that lineup looks completely sick...we're gonna be a tough team next year and i'm expecting a deep playoff run!.
