It is the neglect of timely repair that makes rebuilding necessary.

There is such a thing called preventative maintenance. For instance, regular oil changes, prevent your engine from blowing the hell up. Sounds simple enough right ? But it continues to boggle the most intelligent mind, why this simple concept,is rarely exercised. Too many chiefs perhaps. Why wait until something goes absolutely haywire, without repairing or replacing the problem, when all the signs were screaming that something needed to be done. I love Nate. Great defensive coach. But theres a reason why during the Olympics that he was summoned to a specific task. Defensive Coach. If they needed offense, they would have called D'Antoni. He brought great success to our franchise when we needed it most, but his expertise had outrun its use. Now, we've got gazelles that need to run.Run and play the kind of uptempo game that these bigger, stronger, faster athletes were born to run. When i watched the Blaze vs Bulls game,i saw the new Coaches release of the proverbial reigns, but in the fourth when we needed it, i saw McMillans "D". So, they did learn something from  the sarge about getting stops.I'm going to miss Nate, but i new the day would come when we traded out vintage carburetor for an Edelbrock. I am a Portland TrailBlazers fan.Im also a competitor. Nothing that i ever did ,did i do with the intention of losing. I have more respect for people that lose, than those who lose without the intention of winning. We need winners.
I am a fan of our new roster playing with and for eachother.

Our motor quit running. Somebody put the distributor cap on backwards. Throw some new plugs in there, get that thing ignition back up and running, and we'll hopefully get better performance after this pit stop.

Great thread commontongue!  The vulcans and owner Paul Allen have been heavily scrutinized over the past several years, and in this fan's opinion, rightfully so.  Two years ago, on this site, I raised the question as to whether too much of the team's weight was being placed on one man's shoulders (and knees), and with hindsight being 20/20, my camp has grown profoundly.  Was the use of said player the direct cause of his condition?  No.  Was it a considerable contributor to the hasty onset of what would force an early retirement?  Absolutely.  Sad really, to know that a working class stiff can hear a ping in the engine before millionaires and billionaires, and the result is kryptonite to Superman.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
