One down,81 to go. A while back i wrote that every team is an injury away from insignificance. We Blazer fans know that all to well dont we ? Nash is one guy that L.A. can ill afford to be without. Not that he would have made much difference had he remained in the game. We were clicking yesterday. The kid played like a vet. If Batum averages 22 ppg or more,he'll have earned the pay raise. But now comes another test, OKC. As we all know,Westbrook is a whole different breed of animal. Its definitely going to take a team effort to slow down the Thunder. Im sure we can all recall the that faulty goaltending call against LaMarcus that turned out to be the turning point of our season last year. Our resolve wavered, and we never recovered. Theres a new sheriff in town though and his name is Stotts. Is it me or did it seem like he always had a play to counter what the Lakers were trying to do. Unlike McMillan who i had a lot of respect for, Stotts doesnt panic and call a time-out after every blown assignment, or worse yet, yank a guy for doing so. He is letting these guys take their lumps. One play in particular comes to mind when he called Leonard over after a foul on Howard, and he spoke to him, as opposed to yelling at him. Whatever he said must have worked because DH was clearly and visibly agitated with the youngster. We match up pretty well with OKC. Its important i think to get Ibaka and Westbrook in foul trouble if we are to stand a chance against this squad. We've got Batum and Claver to harass Durant and make him work for every shot. Perkins is going to have to be in excellent shape to keep up with our running bigs. I think Freeland and Barton might get some run against OKC. Freeland may play against Collison, and Will Barton against Lamb and Martin. We're going to have to play an almost perfect game against these guys and keep our turnovers in the single digits if we hope to run with these cats.  These guys are entirely to quick from end to end to be careless with the rock. Lets just hope  that our squad can make shots like they did against L.A.. Go Blazers.
I am a fan of our new roster playing with and for eachother.

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

First Game starts tonight. Houston is a tough first round opponent and they play exceptionally well at home. If we can steal a game or two at their place, I feel like we have extremely good chances.

P.S. Would anybody happen to have a...

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
