CJ  fractured his 5th metatarsal bone in his left foot at practice. Its the same bone he broke when he played for Lehigh last year.....Should we be worried???

Out 6-8 weeks at a minimum.  Both Outlaw and Webster suffered similar injuries in Portland.  Brutal news. : (

Hope he heals quickly (he's young) but doesn't it feel better to know there are several guys who can slide into his spot? My first thought was an Elliot Williams flashback..then thought about the bench and it's all good. Better now than later I guess.

I think the injury is a major setback for him but with our bench we really have enough depth with Wright, Wes, Mo and Barton all able to take up minutes at the SG spot. Hope CJ comes back when the time is right and that he's able to contribute. But no rush for now. The last thing we want for him is to come back too early and get injured again.

But from what I've seen and read about him, he seems to have a solid head on his shoulders and his maturity will be good while he sits out recovering. Expect him to come back with even more hunger and with a desire to prove a point.

Now we'll see what the new training staff is made of! So much for my hoping not to see any player in crutches on the sidelines this season!

6 players had injuries in 7 days. Woke up saw a notification on my phone, had a gut feeling someone was injured (thought it was LMA again), and was right. Why us?

Well maybe he wasnt going to contribute much anyways. So now we can give minutes to vets that probably are going to help more in Wins(Wright, Mo, Claver)... Still SUCKS to hear he broke the SAME bone! Poor CJ hope he heals fast!

It didn't break in the same spot as last year, that screw is intact, it hasn't caused him much pain, these are good things given the injury. I've broken the same bone in my hand 4 times and it has healed well each time. He'll be fine.

Said it before, shoes are built now for speed more than support. I blame shoes for some of this.

I heard he was kickin' some butt before his injury. We need a bucket machine. We need CJ McCollum back in the lineup. I hope he can heal up stronger then new. He seems like he's more then ready for NBA action.

Trey Burke broke his finger playing LAC on 10/12.  Top PGs in the draft down to broken bones.

I've heard of spring break, but fall break? Some folks get all the breaks, others can't buy a break! Must be breaktime! (shutup riverman!) ok....I'll give it a break

I think this is just a freak accident. CJ was fully healthy during summer league and was actually looking good from what I've read in all the reports. His injury is extremely unfortunate but that's part of the game. I have no doubt he will come back and will be a force in this team. We drafted Dame after he had been injured and LMA had a little run of injury and health problems in his first 3 seasons. It's just part of being a professional and the risks that come with competing at the highest level.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
