Via Chris B Haynes, CSNNW...The Portland Trailblazers have reportedly come to an agreement with McDonalds, securing a replacement for the Taco Bell chalupa. Fans in attendance at the Moda Center for a Blazers home game can now look forward to a free sausage egg mcmuffin from McDonalds, when the Blazers hit 100+ points.

The partnership with McDonalds is said to be a 5-year deal and will be in effect November 2nd for the Trailblazers home opener vs the Spurs.

    Seemless transition...

Neither the chalupa nor the sausage egg mcmuffin offer much in the way of nutritional value.  Further, both clowns and chihuahuas scare small children (and adults who watched Poltergeist at far too early an age)and neither speaks much.

Feel like this fan base would have been better served with a partnership with the likes of Dick's Sporting Goods, Footlocker, or a Big 5...as has been written by many on this site, but am thankful as well that the organization has chose to do SOMETHING for those in attendance at the Moda.  Much like this very message board, the new McDonalds food promotion is yet another example of this organization stepping up where many in the league have chosen not to.

    Mc-muff-in

lols sorry but chalupas are way better than anything mcdonalds has to offer. at least we can still chant at the end of the game and boo the third string when they dont run up the score.

Breakfast is an important meal that many people skip so hopefully this will help. Sadly it is for the Sausage McMuffin and not just any McMuffin as the the Egg McMuffin and Egg White McMuffin have much lower fat levels and similar protein, Iron and Calcium numbers.

IStill think we should chant Cha-Lu-Pa first time we get close to 100. Give them one last final salute.

Making it a sausage mcmuffin kind of eliminates several cultures from eating them anyway. I would have thought they'd take that into consideration even though I have no problem with pork, many other cultures do.

Yah I am pretty sure McDonald's and the team do not care who cannot eat pork. They got a sponsor to offer free food so they get to come off like the heroes that brought the fans McDonald's.

The fact is the team does not care about the fans at all simple as that.

Just learned they're made of chicken, so much for that post. I don't eat there so when I heard sausage, I thought pork. Well whatever they give away, it's not going to bother me. If it were my choice they'd give away apples.

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
