I personally am finding a hard time believing that the team actually cares. There have been many things that made me consider this. I am not wanting to get into details right now but I am sure many of you can think of something the team has done that is not fan friendly.

I want to know what everyone thinks before I make up my mind.

Let me know if you believe the team actually cares and why or why not?

I meant cares about the community or about the fans more than whether they care about winning

Ohh. I see.  I believe that Meyers Leonard cares about the fans. After fan fest, he's the only player who signed for the kids out back by the parking area. Everyone else just drove through.

I'd say Wes Mathews buying coats for poor kids every winter should get a mention here. Damian's anti bullying campaign as well. There are things to appreciate from the team. I sure appreciated them.

I certainly believe the players generally care a lot more about the community than the ownership group or management does.

Maybe I am still disenfranchised with the constant rising ticket prices, the team selling out the community for naming rights and the numerous other small things the team has done over the last few years, which has left me feeling under appreciated.

No more lottery tickets, no more thunder sticks, 35 dollar t-shirts, no more Rose Garden and no playoffs the last few years. Winning makes it easy to deal with all the crap the team does to bleed money from its fans.

it's a business first and some of the players generally don't care they just act like it cause there is nothing more marketable than a player that helps the community just saying not saying there all like that but I'm pretty sure alot are

Portland Trailblazers are the 1st professional sports team of the 4 major sports to endorse same-sex marraige.

And does making a statement in the form of a question really mean that one cares to hear what other people think?

This reminds me of Office Space.  Someone isn't recieving a paycheck and can't figure out why they were moved to storage room B.

Well, after checking out the homepage of the horribly redesigned Blazers official page and not finding a link to here on it makes me really wonder. Alot of us have been part of the community over here since the start and are we just going to be cast aside now? So all of our profiles and fan points are going to be tossed away and everything we have shared over the years? That is the feeling I am getting.

Anyhow, for years I have been sending in suggestions to help make this site better and never got a response. Also let's look at the contests "for the fans." Every year I competed in the "Staring Five" contest as many did on this site as a form of friendly competition and to try and win prizes. After all, the mission statement on that page has always read: "And more points earn you more stuff!" Well, that is kind of crap too...last year the contest was in place but it wasn't until after the season started and people had to write in to find out no prizes for the monthly winners or grand prize winner would be awarded. Ok then, so now what do my "fan points" earn me??? NOTHING!!! Oh, and guess what...yep...I would have won the grand prize on the contest last year and a couple monthly ones. Cannot believe they were that cheap to not keep contests going...FOR THE FANS!!!

I don't know if this is the answer you were looking for cmeese47 but I have been seeing things go downhill for a while on the fan site and instead of improving things it feels if we are just being cast aside and furthermore without any warning or notifications. If I am wrong, then someone please inform me. Oh...and for what it is worth...I have stuck by this organization since 70-71 and you would be amazed as a fan how much time and money I have put into the Blazers. It is mind boggling to say the least!!!

    peace out,

Daddy I was not looking for anything specific but I appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you like me have felt let down by the site and the Blazers organization.

On the gay marriage side I think it was nice to see the team openly support gay marriage because of its importance in the community and to preaching acceptance in general.

Who cares  if they care, i want to watch good basketball and go deep into the play offs, what they do in their free time is their business, they can be the worst people on the planet as long as we get some wins. Win at all cost should be the mentality around this team.

I like winning at all costs from the players but the team should give a damn about the fans. They pay the bills and the Blazers fans continue to show despite them playing terrible last few years and not really giving back.
