Is he already as good or better than LA, Bosh and Griffin?

Plays for the Pelicans.  Finished behind Lillard for ROY.

    Speaking of Lillard -

He is the first player in NBA History, in his first 5 games, to have at least:

    100 points, 25 reb, 25 ast, and 20 3-ppinters

Yeah the dude is a monster!

The days of having a lot of 20pt scorers are back. Evan Turner, Greg Monroe, Anthony Davis, Paul George, Eric Bledose, and OUR DAMIAN LILLARD all made HUGE jumps from last season. NBA is crazy this year

LA and Lillard both in the top 10 for points per game in the entire NBA.

Yeah I know but Aldridge is always in the top 10 lol

But what Davis is doing this season is special. Top15 in points, Top10 IN STEALS, Top5 in Blocks, Top5 in Rebounding,

Don't know if his numbers will last, that goes for the rest of those guys, but they have been a monsters so far. Lamarcus has been automatic and clutch on the offensive end but that's pretty much it..

Lillard became the first player to ever record 100 points, 25 rebounds, 25 assists and 20 three-pointers in his team’s first five games

Re the question posed with this thread...

No. Bosh, Griffin, and LA have long been established stars...two of the three perennial all-stars. They have paid their dues and consistently ascended that proverbial ladder of excellence to become the current members of the NBA elite they are. Davis has a tremendous upside. Potential is not a synonym for elite.

If Davis finishes with similar stats to what he has now 21.7 PTS 11.6 Reb 3.9 BLK and 2.3 STL does that change things for you Bdawg.

i would say he is better than griffin for sure, possibly on par with bosh. LA is still the best though.

and^^ griffin is not a proven veteran all star. he's well marketed and athletic, his game still does not impress me.

Though I am anything but a fan of Griffin's, there is no arguing the man is a veteran all-star.  Remember, being an all-star in this league has very little to do with talent...at least a STARTING all-star, as voted in by the fans.  I agree stacks, marketed very well and now a face of the league.  For me however, the man has very little in the way of basketball skills and/or basketball IQ.  He and Howard are similar to me in that way and with the amount of pub they both generate.  Great athletes...yes.  Great basketball players?  Not in my opinion.

You average 20-10 in the nba you are a great basketball player simple as that. Does being a great athlete help yes, but there is a lot of great athletes who do not produce at all.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
