after going over all the moves for our second unit, Neil has done such a great job feeling it out. with young players and proven players, i love all of our moves with the 10th pick, acouple second rounders and 12 mill in cap he made the most of what he had .

so our 2 unit consist of

    -McCollum(draft), Crabbe(draft)

    Robinson(trade)

    Watson(FA), Wright(FA)

so we add two rookies with alot of upside, one second year pro. & add two vets i think this makes our bench really deep and makes for alot fighting and scrapping for mins. Baron, Claver, Freeland, Leonard are gonna be fighting for mins. i think we need to make one more move and thats to get another vet center hopefully it is O'Neal i love the fact he is willing to help out Leonard, he can teach him toughness and D plus he can maybe touch him acouple post moves.

    2013/14 blazers roster currently stands.

    1. Lillard/McCollum/Watson

    2. Matthews/Barton/Crabbe

    3. Batum/Wright/Claver

    4. LA/Robinson/Freeland

    5. Lopez/Leonard/O'Neal(Hopefully)

as this team stands i think its a playoff team, currently as constructed, what do you guys think ? if i had to give a grade to Neil for this off-season moves id give him a A- great job Neil cant wait for the season to start .

YES, YES, YES , for me also N.Olshey did great job. Now We have really strong bench.

Last season it was our main problem after a few tough matches our starting five players were so tired that we lose with evryone.

I am looking forward to see this new bench in action, so

    GO BLAZERS !!!

I like this time of the year almost as much as the regular season.

I see a lot of posters wanting to bring O' Neal back.  Is he a free agent?

The bench does look improved; however, it still has major question marks. Can McCollum be an effective back up PG? I am most worried about his passing ability if he can manage to be effective at the point for 12-15 minutes a game then great if not we will have a major log jam at SG and no back up PG cause Earl Watson does not count. Can McCollum and Crabbe score at the next level? Both look like they should be able to but seeing Blazer drafts picks fail is not a new sight so hopefully that is not the case. The rest comes down to how much Robinson and Leonard have improved.

I would put the Blazers as around 35-45 win team depending on rookie development and lack of injuries.

I have faith in Olsheys ability to pick substance over style. What i like about our rooks are that they were knocking down shots in big games, late in games, but more importantly was they werent afraid of taking the Big shots. You already know what you're getting when Lillard starts to heat up,but to have multiple guys now that can heat it up in a hurry and consistently, thats huge for us. The fact that Wright can come in and play sg,with Batum at the sf,T-Rob at pf,and finally some options at the pg,we have a boatload of scenarios to throw at opposing teams. Our starters will get that much needed rest that they couldnt last season. I think we need to shake that kid Terrel and leave the 15th spot for either a call up,or a big servicable body.

Why doesn't Earl Watson count? He IS a backup PG. That is his NBA Career. He is an excellent facilitator.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

We CAN have these combinations now:  Nico @ sf & Wes @ the 2 (ooooof course ;), Nico @ 2 & Wright @ sf, Wes @ 2 & Wright @ sf.    Versatility like THIS @ the 2 & 3 ALONE is something to b excited about BUT... there's MORE than just this!  Hahaha! Sssssssssssssoooooo AWESOME!!! :)

McCollum and Wright will be able to but up points consistently, also they can rebound well for their size. Robinson biggest strength is his rebounding so hopefully they can help out Leonard. Hopefully he helps himself out to....

I think Robinson will thrive here. The dude will look very promising! BET ON IT

Barton and Crabbe fighting for backup 2 mins will be fun to watch. I LOVED Barton at the end of last season but it seems he hasnt been working at all this offseason. This leads me to believe that Crabbe will end up getting more court time. I think he will be a good spot up shooter like Babbit or Batum his first season.

    Excited for the season

    I loved this Offseason.

We got the players we needed, it will be good to have a bench this year...

We have reliable backups for every position, maybe we should add only 1 more veteran center...

I think we will reach the playoffs! Because we have a pretty good starting lineup and a reliable bench, mixing experienced and young players!

We will be improved this year. Our Core 4 are all better now and I am sure they will all improve as a unit. I think we can have a few different combos at any point in time. Leonard could be a starter and Batum and Wes will be great help to him on the defensive end. Our second unit needs a defensive general. Oneal should be the guy there but Lopez and Wright will be fine as they have more experience than any of our second unit players from last year.

I picture our 2nd unit looking something like this.

    PG: Watson SG: McCollum

    SF: Wright

PF: Oneal(if we get him)/ Freeland or Aldridge

    C: Lopez

I included LMA in the 2nd unit because I think we need a primary scorer while Lillard and Batum sit. Lopez and Freeland are not great offensive players so LMA could be like Tim Duncan who sits at the end of the 1st but starts the 2nd quarter with the bench guys.

My bad, I meant to put Robinson in instead of Freeland.

I give Olshey an A- for his work so far. If he can pull off a move to get Freeland off the roster I'll be more inclined to give him an A. Freeland showed promise last year but he isn't what we need. He is more suited to the euro leagues at this stage. It's a pity but that just how it goes sometimes.

Something like his sub 35% shooting, pathetic defense, and sub 20% three point range, not to forget his high to/ast ratio. That is pretty much why.

He's not meant to be a shooter or a defender (I heard a lot of people say he was good at that though), he is meant to be a passer. Turnover thing doesn't bother me as he's not going to be playing extended minutes.

I think we should try to upgrade our current center position by trading Lopez and Barton for Asik.  Remember we helped Houston get D12 now they could help us get Asik.

That trade doesn't make any sense. Why would the Rockets give up Asik for Lopez? Just to get a hold of Barton, I don't think so. And maybe you could remind me how we helped Houston get Howard?

Houston wanted to get rid of T-rob so his contract would not go against their cap space whereby they would have sufficient cap space to offer Howard a max contract.  Without the movement of T-rob they would not have the necessary cap space to offer the max contract and may lose howard to another team.
